Our Journey

County Girls–Nairobi, Successor to Murang'a Road Mixed Day Secondary School was registered as Girls Boarding School in 2014 and is strategically located in Starehe Sub – County at Ngara area.

The school i.e. Murang’a Road Mixed day secondary school had been identified in 2008 and was carved out of Murang’a Road Primary school by a team of officers who had been afforded from the ministry of education in the city council of Nairobi to identify and establish a school of its kind among other schools in the county.

This was necessitated by the high demand for space in secondary schools as a result of the introduction of free primary education. It was also envisioned that the primary had enough space for a secondary expansion, hence the establishment of the school would be found in the finer strategic plan of 2012 – 2017.

The County Girls High School community believes that the mission of the school is to teach students how to learn to prepare each student to achieve at the highest levels and prepare them to contribute in the broadcast sense to the betterment of the school community as well as the community at large.

a) Students learn better when instructions are valued in their practice and are individualized to students in their learning styles.
